Blakesburg Photos 09/06/2009
We're back home from Blakesburg for a quick change of clothes before we head out to Galesburg in the morning. If you couldn't make Blakesburg this year, I hope you put it on your calendar for next year because it was AWESOME! The weather was beautiful, the company was great, the night time music (and scotch) was delightful, and the airplanes were fantastic. After a bit of walking, I gave up adding planes and things to my wishlist in my little notepad - my list was just getting too long! I could go on and on, but it's better to just share some pictures from this weekend. Flying into Blakesurg, record attendance in 2010 with over 350 airplanes.  Brian with Diane & Dan (the real Kilroy?)  Brian in A. Lopez's Squaretail Stearman (#1 on our wishlist)  I fell in love with this girly Champ  A confused Champ? Nope, it's a Tri-Champ!  Ray Robinson's fine Chief (next to the Sawhills' Green Lantern)  I can only dream that our Stinson project could one day look this nice. This very nice 108-2 is owned by Rick & Brenda Gritters in Pella.  After putting on Stearman wheel pants recently, we couldn't help but notice these cute-as-a-button pants. Guess what kind of plane!
