Half Fast Flying Adventures

The first official Iowa fly-in of 2009 turned out great, with unheard of 50-degree weather in January. Plenty of planes bucked a heck of a headwind to visit from all over central and western Iowa  to tour the museum, mingle and enjoy some cold-weather comfort foods. One brave soul soared the January skies in a very small ultralight. This photo of it was emailed to us by Dave Kalwishky and was taken by Marc Broer (thanks for sharing, guys!).
Brian and Matt flew to Greenfield in the T6, and Matt was a lucky winner of a door prize just minutes after signing in. Brian gave two thumbs up to the buffalo chili, and Matt loved how even the cupcakes had little airplanes on top (so cute!).
The consensus? Greenfield hosts a great fly-in, and we look forward to stopping there again.
