Over 400 attend first hangar party 06/26/2008
![]() Ox, Sparky, and I opened our freshly painted hangar doors to the public for the first time during the American Barnstormer Tour last week. We hosted the adventurous pilots during their stay, and had a great time - of course, riding in Hank and Ray's 1928 TravelAir 6000 was my favorite. CommentsSparky 06/27/2008 04:39
What an action packed 5 days at the Ames Airport! The Barnstormers drew literally thousands of people to the airport. It is exciting to see so many people enthused about aviation, and their increased awareness of the Ames Airport. Brian and Rachel’s hanger was the hub of all the activity. I can’t wait to see what the next get together will be like at the “hangar”!

They love to fly, and when the weather keeps them on the ground, they love to talk about flying. When they aren't in the air, Brian keeps the airplanes running while Rachel cleans them and keeps this website running. ArchivesJanuary 2012 |
